PLAYS: VERITAS

Veritas is a historical drama inspired by the story of how Harvard accepted four Native American students in the 17th century.  The nonlinear play illuminates a multiplicity of voices including John Eliot, a deeply radical preacher who was determined to keep Englishmen and Native Americans in the same classroom.   Being targeted as traitors by their tribes and never fully accepted by the colonial establishment, only one of the Native American students would live long enough to graduate in 1665.
